The Ptolomeo X4 Short Book Stand has been created by Bruno Rainaldi for the brand Opinion Ciatti. The innovative design won him the Compasso d'Oro Award in 2004. It also awarded him a wide fan base.

The Ptolomeo X4 Short Book Stand is made of stainless steel. It has a trio of tiered shelves made of lacquered sheets of steel. They can be rotated and can hold at least 75 books or 210 CDs. The base is made of polished steel. Apart from holding and displaying books, this versatile piece can be used as a side table in a living room or even a bedside table that puts an avid reader's favourites right next to them. Another detail that increases its functionality is a mini compartment that has a sliding door. It can be used to hold little items like bookmarks.

The Ptolomeo X4 Short Book Stand has a length of 52cm, a width of 52cm and a height of 43cm. It is available in light and dark-toned neutral colours. Apart from homes, it can be used to hold magazines, brochures and pamphlets in a reception or waiting area.
