The Belle Rug 230x320cm was designed by Lina Rickardsson for the brand pappelina.

Lina Rickardsson turned her passion for traditional weaving techniques into a successful career and design story when she launched pappelina in the late 20th century. Making use of both natural materials and environmentally-certified recycled plastic, the label brought new life to an old family-run textiles mill in Dalarna, Sweden. Here, blankets, rugs and home accessories are woven to Rickardsson's designs using traditional methods. Among Lina Rickardsson's prestigious awards is the Formex Formidable Prize.

The Belle Rug 230x320cm is woven using traditional looms and wooden shuttles and is characterised by its pleasing colour blends and the subtle play of light and dark created by its thin stripes. The rug is made from certified phthalate-free PVC which has been recycled, cleaned and cut into ribbons. The double folded hem edge has a strong seam to give durability while the PVC makes the rug easy to clean and a practical choice for any room, particularly children's bedrooms, hallways and kitchens. The Belle Rug 230x320cm is reversible and available in a choice of colours. The manufacturing process leads to slight variations in the thickness of the rug.
