The Alwa Three Side Table has been created by Sebastian Herkner for the brand pulpo. German designer Herkner is known for his creative use of materials, and pulpo also has a reputation for bold concepts and fresh ideas. So it's no surprise that the Alwa table is full of unusual touches.

For example, while many side tables use blown glass to create a delicate textured look, Herkner decided to try cast glass instead. The longer mould-based process used to make the tabletops of the Alwa Three Side Table means that air bubbles are integrated into the material. In the process, the glass takes on a completely unique, almost water-like appearance - and one that is rarely seen in similar furnishings.

The richly textured glass tabletop isn't the only aspect of the Alwa Three Side Table which captures the imagination. The thinner glass of the supporting column also impresses, completing a harmonious contrast with the bolder tones of the tabletop. The form is extremely practical as well. Measuring 44cm in height and 38cm in width, the table will suit most living rooms or conservatories. Wherever a little extra space for home essentials is needed, Alwa will excel.
