Foodie Flatbed Toaster

The Foodie Flatbed Toaster has been created by Unit 10 for the brand RIG-TIG. Based in Copenhagen, Unit 10 is a design consultancy that is the brainchild of Anne Marie Raaschou-Nielsen and Francis Cayouette. The pair believes in creating pieces that capture and express emotion while being optimally functional. With the Foodie Flatbed Toaster, the design duo departed from the conventional upright toaster to create a flat one. Made for daily use, this toaster has seven settings that make it possible for you to toast your bread exactly to your liking from very lightly to very well toasted. It has a pair of heating elements that brown the toast evenly.

The Foodie Flatbed Toaster has a width of 22cm, a length of 33cm and a height of 7.3cm. Its compact dimensions make it ideal for use in places with limited space. This includes studio apartments, college dorm rooms and hostels that have communal kitchen spaces. Another advantage of this flatbed toaster is that it is very user friendly. It is fast and easy to place bread on it, choose a setting, turn it on then turn it off and remove the toast once it is done. Made of plastic and stainless steel, this toaster is lightweight and durable.
