Smeg has been manufacturing upmarket domestic appliances for over 70 years. The company was founded by Vittorio Bertazzoni in 1948 in the Italian town of Guastalla in the province of Reggio Emilia. The name 'Smeg' is an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla, which pays tribute to the brand's Italian roots. Some of the popular products by the manufacturer include fridges, toasters, kettles and juicers.
