This sleek and efficient Stelton Corkscrew was designed by Peter Holmblad for the Danish label Stelton.
Stelton was established in 1960 and found great success in 1967 with the development of the Cylinda line of serving accessories. This collection was created by famed designer Arne Jacobsen, who drew on his Scandinavian heritage to create products of global appeal. The collection, distinguished by a signature cylindrical form, has won may awards and is still popular today. The current line-up comprises 34 products, including sugar bowls, cocktail shakers, coffee makers and pitchers. Other popular products from the firm include the Vacuum Jug, which garnered the Danish Industrial Design Award in 1977.
The Stelton Corkscrew features a wide cylindrical handle crafted from satin-polished stainless steel. This broad and sturdy handle allows a firm grip and also ensures uniform pressure when applied so that users can effortlessly remove long or hard corks. This design also radiates a sense of balance which brings a sense of aesthetic pleasure to the act of uncorking a bottle of wine. Measuring 10cm in width, 10cm in height and with a depth of 1.5cm, the Stelton Corkscrew belongs among the accessories of every discerning wine lover.
