Licht Coffee Table

The Licht Coffee Table has been created by Studio Zondag for the brand Studio Zondag. The Dutch studio puts a unique spin on its pieces with representations of different cultures from around the world. Some favourites are Nordic and Japanese design traditions which are well-loved for their long history and unique features. The overall look of simple elegance is inspired by Nordic design traditions which include simplicity and practicality.

The Licht Coffee Table is made of oak. It is finished with oiling which leaves its golden-toned grain on show which is one of its subtle decorative features. It makes a striking contrast against the dark base. It has a round tabletop that has a raised edge that gives it a tray top. It rests on a base made of powder-coated steel. Rather than the conventional four legs, the metal has been shaped into U-shaped frames. They have been positioned diagonally which creates another understated detail of an X-shaped base. The sled-style legs have gliders underneath. The tops of the legs go into openings on the tabletop where they fit snugly which is another unique touch.

The Licht Coffee Table has a height of 38cm and a diameter of 61cm. It is available in natural oak with a dark base.
