The De Stijl Piano Light was The De Stijl Piano Light was created by the team at Tecnolumen, a German brand which seeks to keep the innovative spirit of the Bauhaus movement alive in the 21st century.
As its name suggests, this lamp borrows from De Stijl, a Dutch movement that appeared during the 1920s and sparked a design revolution. With this product, Tecnolumen has conjured up a classically elegant piano light - the kind of lamp that was intended to clamp onto pianos to illuminate sheet music. Nowadays, it doesn't have to be used for music, and can be employed to light works of art, hallways, or awkward corners that need some extra brightness.
Made from high-quality chrome, the De Stijl Piano Light measures 36cm wide and 11cm tall. This comparatively small item is ideal for adding to interiors where pockets of space aren't covered by main lights. Each lamp weighs 1.2kg, and comes with a cylindrical diffuser, which directs light downwards, although the lamp can also be pivoted as needed. The light itself needs by E14 candle, while the unit can be connected easily via a 250cm cable.
