The S 220 Chair Black Frame has a seat and backrest made of moulded plywood. Its medium-height backrest has a straight upper edge that is curved on the sides. The inward curves hug the back and provide optimal support and comfort. The line continues downwards where it forms the seat. It gradually broadens out into a wide-sized ergonomic seat. The curved line that started at the top ends with the seat's rounded edge. The overall result is a chair that broadens out and narrows down in simulation of the human form. The single-piece shell is supported by a metallic base. Steel has been finished with powder coating and shaped into tubes that form sturdy legs.

The S 220 Chair Black Frame has a width of 49cm, a height of 81cm and a depth of 54cm. It has a seat height is 46cm. It comes with a clear oak, clear walnut or dark stained oak finish with a dark frame. The chair can be stacked which makes for convenient storage.
