The Melt LED Suspension Lamp is a collaboration between the Swedish design collective FRONT and the manufacturer/design house of Tom Dixon.

Tom Dixon was established in London in 2002, initially specialising in contemporary, extruded plastic furniture designs. This brand now has a variety of retail showrooms around the globe, alongside manufacturing and design studios in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Paris. Lighting, furniture and accessories are the primary focus of the design house and all items are instantly recognisable, due to their sculptural and engineered qualities.

This Melt LED Suspension Lamp is part of the Melt Collection, which features lamps with the distorted look of molten glass. These fascinating illuminations have a look reminiscent of a volcano, which gives an ethereal aspect when they are switched on, alongside a reflective, mirror-like appearance during the hours of daylight. These suspension lamps are available in a variety of colours and measure 50cm in width, and 50cm in height. The cable length is 250cm and each lamp weighs 1.1kg. This externally dimmable lamp has an IP20 rating, and uses bulbs rated A++ to E. The suspension lamp is supplied with one A++ bulb.
