The Formakami JH18 Table Lamp has been created by Jaime Hayon for the brand &Tradition. Formakami is a subtle collection of household lamps which fuse Hayon's creative instincts with an appreciation for timeless Asian design. Based on Traditional paper lantern forms, they update age-old designs for a new generation.
The Formakami JH18 Table Lamp is made from rice paper, using techniques developed over centuries. Unlike lanterns, it is designed to sit on table or desktops, and casts a gentle light through the paper surface, creating a restful and peaceful atmosphere. The shape of the lamp is a highlight, with its narrow bottom chamber, combined with a broader upper section. This enhances the look and stability, while allowing light to diffuse widely.
The Formakami JH18 Table Lamp measures 50cm tall, 38cm wide and comes with a 200cm long cable, allowing flexible placement around the home. The frame has been fashioned from beautiful natural oak, while the weight remains relatively low at 1kg. Inside, the lamp employs an energy efficient bulb which is not supplied with the lamp. Instead, the appropriate bulb with the E27 socket.
