Taste-Huile Olive Oil Taster

The elegant Taste-Huile olive oil taster was designed by Lorenzo Piccione di Pianogrillo and Köbi Wiesendanger for the Italian manufacturer Alessi.

Alessi has built their reputation over many decades as leading innovators in the design of contemporary kitchen accessories. The practical yet stylish Taste-Huile olive oil taster is a collaboration between Wiesendanger, an award-winning Swiss designer with his own studio, and di Pianogrillo, a producer of extra virgin olive oil in Sicily, where fine quality oil is as valued as wine and tasted in a similar way.

The Taste-Huile olive oil taster is a beautiful kitchen accessory made from polished metal. It consists of a small leaf-shaped tray that holds an oval olive oil container with a lid. The container has a long, narrow spout, that has been carefully designed to allow just the right amount of oil to be perfectly poured without dripping or spilling. The taster will hold 0.1 litres of olive oil and is made from mirror polished stainless steel. It measures 19.5 x 6 x 18.5 cm.
