The Tonale Set 4 dessert plates Ø20cm , designed by David Chipperfield for the renowned manufacturer Alessi. Tonale is the further development of a project started in 1996. The brithish architect David Chipperfield wasn't only inspired by Morandi's works, but also by traditional asian ceramics. These influences are combined in Tonale to create a versatile collection of objects that form a unit thanks to their colour-coordination and basic shapes. This eclectic collection is made up of numerous components, like a tray, carafe, plates, and bowls in various sizes as well as glassware and cups.
The insides of the earthenware products are smooth and glossy white, the outsides feel like matted, velvet-like leather. On request the surfaces are available in different shades.
