Tripod Trivet

This stylish Tripod Trivet was created by Gabriele Chiave for leading Italian design company Alessi.

Alessi began from humble beginnings as a mechanics workshop back in 1921, making simple but high-quality kitchen accessories. Over the decades, they have continued to partner with big designer names such as Chiave to deliver unique utensils to the market place.

The design of this Tripod Trivet pot stand is playful enough that it is not immediately apparent what it does! Possessing four different crosses linked on a chain, the item can be stored easily when not in use by hanging from any hook or upright in the kitchen. When in use, simply arrange the silver crosses as needed and you are able to protect your vulnerable surfaces from heat damage in a way that will surprise and delight any visitor to your kitchen. Offered in a slick chrome finish, the Tripod Trivet is crafted from Zamak and is capable of standing up to the heavy weight and intense heat of the pot. The link is a total of 60cm long and the crosses allow your pots to sit just over 3cm above your surfaces -- enough to prevent any kind of heat damage.
