90D Side Table Clear Lacquered Base

The 90D Side Table Clear Lacquered Base was designed by Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek .

As well as being an iconic designer of the 20th century, Alvar Aalto was one of the creators of Artek when it was launched in Finland in 1935. Aalto's design work always blended form with function, something the label continues to this day. He was also the architect of many notable Finnish buildings and was awarded many design prizes such as the Finnish Royal Gold Medal.

The 90D Side Table Clear Lacquered Base is a piece that seamlessly intertwines form with function. It is elegantly simple in outline but multifaceted in use. It works as a low seat, a coffee table, bedside table or for display. The curved legs fix directly to the underside of the tabletop, giving a pleasing appearance while also allowing the table to be stacked. When several are stacked together, they create an interesting spiral sculpture effect. The legs are made from solid birch with a clear lacquered finish while the birch veneer chipboard tabletop is available in a choice of shades. The 90D Side Table Clear Lacquered Base measures 44 x 48 cm.
