La Petite Table lamp

The distinctive and elegant La Petite LED Table lamp was conceived by the Parisian design studio Quaglio Simonelli exclusively for the leading Italian lighting company Artemide.

Every piece that Artemide releases is guided by the company's philosophy of 'The Human Light', which puts human needs for lighting at the centre of all that it manufactures. The company works with some of the world's leading designers, among them the Quaglio Simonelli studio. Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli aim to create pieces that look familiar, but which contain what they describe as "poetic elements". Some of their work is featured at the esteemed Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The La Petite LED Table Lamp is, at its simplest, a shade that appears to be balancing on a tilted stem, directly above its base. Skillful design and manufacturing have allowed this illusion to be realised. The shade is made of a lightweight injection moulded polymer, allowing minimal contact with the tilted aluminium support. The appeal of the La Petite LED Table lamp lies precisely in its simplicity, achieved through the latest technological advances. This piece is a design classic in the making.
