The Tizio collection was created by designer Richard Sapper starting in 1972 for the Italian label Artemide. Tizio is a lamp collection that includes different lamps and lights, and is extremely popular. The Tizio lamps by Artemide convince us with their classic design as well as with their smart technology and mechanics. Nearly all the lamps have two “arms” that are flexible and adjustable. Richard Sapper, the designer of the Tizio collection by Artemide, was born in 1932 in Munich, Germany, and counts as one of the most important product designers of our time. His designs are straight-forward, discreet, and modern. Before Sapper settled in his own design office in Stuttgart, he worked, among others, for Mercedes Benz and different Italian companies like Alessi and La Rinascente. Richard Sapper's motto is this: “Give meaning to the form!” The Tizio collection for Artemide is a great example for this credo, and a must have for all lighting fans!
