The Rive Droite Armchair was designed by Patrick Norguet for the Italian label Cappellini. With its vivid colours and imaginative printed design, it has a retro feel and plenty of energy. If you need to add some fun to a living room or lounge, it's a fine chair to choose.
Although the Rive Droite Armchair could easily be part of a stylish 1970s apartment design, it actually appeared in 2001. The French designer Norguet set himself the task of bringing the extravagance and glamour of haute couture fashion to the furniture design realm, enlisting the graphical talents of Emilio Pucci to decorate this dynamic lounge chair.
The product he created has instant visual appeal. The broad seat of the chair and soft, padded pack makes a welcoming place to sit, while a slit at the base of the seat adds a neat focal point to break up the brightly coloured print pattern. The frame of the chair is made from robust metal, contrasting neatly with the upholstery design, while the fabric is underlaid with a layer of PU foam.
Measuring 71cm tall and 93.5cm wide, this low-profile, retro-inspired chair will be an enjoyable addition to most domestic lounge areas.
