Edward van Vliet was born in the Netherlands, in 1965. He studied at the School of Arts in Utrecht, and at the design Academy in Eindhoven where he received his BA in interior and industrial design.
In 1990 he opened his own interior design company "SEVV", which is the abbreviation for "Studio Edward van Vliet" and is an office for interior and industrial design.
SEVV combines the very latest manufacturing methods, traditional techniques and natural materials with the aim of creating products or spaces which emanate an atmosphere of luxury, exclusivity and originality. This approach has been given concrete expression in a range of different hotel projects.
This multidisciplinary design company focuses on the existing brand image, should the client so wish. In order to achieve a balance between function, atmosphere and emotion, the design concept must be global, following paths which are impervious to trends.
Edward van Vliet creates and realises projects for both Dutch and international companies.
Clients of SEVV are such as Moroso, Moooi, Quasar, Palau, Björn Axén, de Bijenkorf, ICE Carpets, Haans, Ligne Roset.
