Luisa Bocchietto graduated with a degree in architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1985, with an industrial design dissertation with architect Marco Zanuso. She also obtained the IED certificate from the European Design Institute of Milan.
Since then, Luisa Bocchietto has established her own practice in Italy and worked for both public and private purchasers. She has executed projects focused on development, urban renovation, residential construction, furniture design, retail, and exhibition design for international events (Milan, Paris, Cologne, New York). She freelances for many design companies and her work has been published in leading design magazines, especially the "VasOne" giant vases for Serralunga, which were showed in trade shows, hotels, and urban areas all over the world.
She also handles the artistic management for the Serralunga collection, which was included in the ADI Design Index 2004.
In addition to her professional work, she has always carried out activities to support project quality improvement. She has been President of the Architects Association, and is currently cooperating with the Architects National Council. She is also active in the ADI, the association for industrial design.
She has been a lecturer for many conferences in Italy and abroad (at the University of Architecture of Lausanne, Turin, Milan, Venice) as well as co-supervisor of graduation dissertations in industrial design.
