Sebastian Wrong was born in London, United Kingdom in 1971. He studied BA Hons in Fine Art (sculpture) at Norwich School of Art and Camberwell School of Art, graduating in 1993.
Wrong's education has been in the field of three dimensional art, and his design practice has developed as parallel work with fine art. His interests are in material manipulation, purity of form, function and honesty. The designs cultivates from the balance between function, aesthetics and refinement.
Sebastian Wrong designed the "Spun" light, which is produced as both floor and table lamp since 2003 by Flos.
In 2004 the "Spun" light was awarded the prestigious Red Dot design prize.
