Werner Aisslinger was born 1964 in Germany, he studied Design at University of Arts in Berlin. He worked 1989-1992 as a freelancer in well known design offices, Jasper Morrison’s, Ron Arad’s and de Lucchi’s, up to set his own one in Berlin in 1993.
Selected many times for the Compasso d’ Oro and other Europen important awards, he designed items nowadays parts in the permanent collections of Moma, Vitra Design Museum and New York Metropolitan.
He believes that design has basically to search new materials and new technologies: working for Zanotta, Porro, Magis he uses fibreglass, gels, aluminium foam, neoprene and three-dimensional textiles.
