The Socket Low Suspension Lamp has been created by the in-house team for the brandFerm LIVING. Ferm LIVING is a Danish studio which was set up by Trine Andersen in 2005. Since then, it has been responsible for some of the most creative new furnishings, household accessories and - in the case of the Socket Low Suspension Lamp-designer lighting. As with most Ferm designs, it scores well with its simplicity.

In classic Scandinavian fashion, the Socket Low Suspension Lamp is minimalist and unflashy, yet still packs a visual punch. Its practical features make it a fine addition to living spaces and offices alike. The Socket Low Suspension Lamp hangs from an adaptable 300cm cable and has an extremely short fixture made from a slender brass ring and a plastic cylinder, which measures just 10cm in height and 7.5cm in diameter. So it won't feel like an imposing presence wherever it is used. The team at Ferm have elected to add a single E27 illuminant, which casts light widely across large spaces, while offering a long lifespan and a high level of energy efficiency. The appropriate E27 light bulb can be ordered under accessories. This lamp can also be deployed effectively with other Ferm designs, creating beautiful ensembles for contemporary interiors.
