The classic Naska Small Desk Lamp was created by Archivio Storico for Italian design company Fontana Arte.
In 1931, glassmaker Luigi Fontana and designer Gio Ponti established Fontana Arte, their dynamic partnership soon earned them success and they produced objects and furnishings that have become part of the Italian design history. Their visionary brand combines high-quality lighting with sensuous, poetic modernism. Over the years, the company has received numerous international awards including the Compasso d'Oro and the Archiproducts Design Award. They collaborated with many leading designers such as Italian-born Archivio Storico, whose lamps have become iconic design pieces that continue to be produced today.
The Naska Small Desk Lamp was created in 1933 and its simple and functional design soon became a best seller seen in offices and homes worldwide. The scaled-down mini version has all the functionality of the larger lamp, with three practical, technically sophisticated joints allowing the user to swivel or compress the lamp in a multitude of positions. Beautifully constructed from chrome and aluminium, it will add a touch of class to any desk or table top. This historical lamp is suitable for an all-purpose E27 / 40W bulb that will produce a warm ambient light.
