The Rituals 1 Suspension Lamp has been created by Ludovica Palomba and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini. Taking inspiration from the form of Japanese paper lanterns, Rituals lights use frosted glass to generate a laid back, soothing ambience. With its intriguing curves, the Rituals 1 Suspension Lamp is one of the most exciting entries in the series.
The Rituals 1 Suspension Lamp is focused around its 34cm tall and 24cm wide blown glass diffuser, which has a beehive-like shape and features horizontal ripples around its edge. These ripples have been created using negative moulds and manual belt grinding, while a "plaster-like" texture has been achieved via acid immersion. More than just decorative elements, the ripples soften the light produced, creating a relaxing atmosphere wherever the lamp is used.
The Rituals 1 Suspension Lamp also has a spiral shaped stainless steel suspension cable and transparent electrical cable, adding to the exotic appearance. And the 12cm wide galvanised metal canopy with matt-finished ABS cover can accommodate up to nine Rituals lamps, creating beautiful lighting configurations around the home. Finally, the Rituals 1 Suspension Lamp uses a single bulb, and the appropriate bulb with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
