Product description

The Tonda Suspension Lamp has been created by Ferruccio Laviani for the brand Foscarini. It has an unusual design achieved by combining different shapes. The final result is a luminous, sculptural light.

The Tonda Suspension Lamp has a spherical shade made of handblown glass. It conceals a diffuser that is also made of glass. It is shaded with white on top which gradually fades out to clear glass at the bottom. The shade is surrounded by a tubular steel rod. It is brushed and polished by hand and finished with a powder coating. The intriguing support has the shape of half a triangle and one end of it appears to pierce the glass shade. It is suspended from the ceiling with a narrow steel cable. Another cable comes from the top of the shade in the middle and goes to a metallic ceiling plate.

The Tonda Suspension Lamp has a length of 40cm, a width of 33cm and a height of 60cm. It has a diameter of 32cm and its cable is 320cm long. The lamp can be dimmed via a TRIAC dimmer. It comes in white with a metallic surround in different colours. The lamp has an E27 socket. The light source is included in the delivery.
