Product description

The Egg Chair™ Loungechair Leather has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. The late Danish architect and industrial designer Fritz Hansen is credited for his vast contribution to architectural functionalism. He left behind a legacy of unique pieces that are still in demand today. One such piece is the Egg Chair™ Loungechair Leather. This lounge chair is so-called because of its shape, which is curved inwards so that it engulfs one in luxurious comfort. Apart from its unique shape, the chair is also a first in terms of the technique used to make it. In 1958, when the chair was designed, never before had polyurethane foam been used to make an inner shell. The shell has a tilt fitting that can be adjusted with a handle to suit the weight of an individual. The base has a swivel centre made of polished satin. The upholstery is made of premium quality leather that is soft and durable.

The Egg Chair™ Loungechair Leather has a width of 86cm, a height of 107cm and a depth of 95cm. It has a seat height of 37cm, an armrest height of 58cm and a backrest height of 107cm. It comes in a selection of neutral colours.
