Grand Prix™ Bar Chair High

The Grand Prix™ Bar Chair High has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. This Danish design classic was awarded the Grand Prix at the 1957 Triennale in Milan, giving it its iconic name.

Its shape simulates the human form. The shell is one singular piece, which keeps the chair's profile sleek. The backrest continues the ergonomic curve of the seat with a slight indentation in the lower back area. Simultaneously, Grand Prix™ Bar Chair High captivates with its slim geometric form, serving as both an eye-catching element and optimal shoulder support. The seat and the backrest are made of ash veneer with FSC®-certified wood. It has been shaped into narrow legs with gliders underneath. Similar narrow rods have been used to form footrests.

The Grand Prix™ Bar Chair High has a height of 107cm, a width of 51cm, and a depth of 54.4cm. The seat height is 64cm, and it weighs 4kg. This makes the Grand Prix™ Bar Chair High well-suited for seating at a kitchen counter or home bar with a table of 95cm to 100cm height. The Grand Prix series also includes chairs and low bar stools in the same design, some with padded seat shells.
