The Serie 7? Chair Velvet was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen.

Specialising in excellence of design for furniture since 1872, the brand has a worldwide reputation for cutting edge style and honed craftsmanship. With its headquarters now in Denmark, Fritz Hansen has championed the Serie 7? Chair Velvet since the 1950s, when Arne Jacobsen joined them. Remembered for his contribution to the functional architectural movement of the 1950's, Arne Jacobsen's designs are iconic, especially the Series 7 chair.

Now a timeless classic, the Serie 7? Chair Velvet works in modern settings as well as in a more traditional style decor. This version has the famous curved shape, set into a powdered metal, fixed, moulded frame. It's cover is fixed and made of 100% cotton plush velvet. At 50cms in width, 82cms in height, 52cms in depth, and having a 46cms seat height, the chair works as part of a dining room set, or on its own. Try as a functional, but visually stunning accent for a minimalist hallway or reception, a great way to add style appeal.
