Product description

The Basket 2-Seater Sofa has been created by Joe Colombo for the brand Gubi. Its name pays homage to the classic hand-weaving technique used for the frame. As this piece is made by hand there may be some minor differences between each piece.

The Basket 2-Seater Sofa has a frame made of rattan which gives it an original, organic aesthetic. The weaving is done by interlacing strips and oval stakes. It is a skill that requires high precision and mastery. The sofa has a high backrest with two lumbar pillows. The sofa is shaped such that they fit snuggly within the frame. There are two armrest pillows on either side of the seat and they too fit into the spaces curved out for them on the frame. The seat has two well-stuffed cushions. All of them are upholstered with outdoor fabric that can stand up to weather elements. The frame extends all the way to the floor eliminating the need for legs to support it.

The Basket 2-Seater Sofa has a width of 169cm, a height of 68cm and a depth of 89cm. Its seat height is 43cm. There are matching sofas in different sizes that can be used to assemble a coordinated set.
