Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp Frame Chrome

The Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp Frame Chrome has been created by Robert Dudley Best for the brand Gubi. Bestlite was designed in 1930 as a commission for London's Savoy Hotel. Its Bauhaus-inspired looks and technical quality soon made it a popular option, including with Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The classic design has now been reintroduced by Danish brand Gubi.

The Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp Frame Chrome has a cup-shaped diffuser which attaches to a diagonal arm which is fixed via a pivoting hinge to the vertical spine. The arm can be bent or swivelled via the BestLiteClip ? a screwdriver like tool which comes with the lamp. And the shade can also be tilted if needed. The main column connects to a round base, completing a stable and adaptable design. The diffuser and base are made from powder-coated metal, while the columns have a striking chrome finish, setting up an attractive contrast.

The lamp can be pivoted and rotated into almost any position while the height can be adjusted as well, making this an excellent choice for precision work. It measures 51cm high, 42cm wide and 21cm deep, and the diffuser has a diameter of 16cm. The Bestlite BL1 Table Lamp Frame Chrome connects to mains sockets via a 200cm cable and requires a single bulb. The appropriate bulb with an E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
