The Fifty-Fifty LED Desk Lamp has been created by Sam Weller for the brand HAY. British designer Weller works closely with the Danish brand, pursuing a minimalist aesthetic which is completely in-tune with Scandinavian traditions. His dual focus on aesthetics and technical innovation are obvious to see with the Fifty-Fifty LED Desk Lamp, which is both extremely practical and visually striking.

The core of the Fifty-Fifty LED Desk Lamp is its counterweight system, which balances the lamp perfectly. This counterweight setup allows users to position the arm with remarkable precision, ensuring a steady stream of light for close work on documents or images, and reducing the need to adjust the lamp.

Visually, the Fifty-Fifty LED Desk Lamp is deceptively simple, avoiding unnecessary adornment. Weller has kept the form pure, using a mix of cast iron and aluminium in a cantilever design which measures 60cm tall, 18.5 wide, and 90cm deep when the arm is fully extended. The round diffuser emits a highly focused beam of light from an energy efficient bulb. The luminaire has a built-in light source that cannot be replaced. Elegant and adaptable, it will suit anyone who needs precise lighting for table or desktop tasks.
