Lizz Mat Chair

The Lizz Mat Chair was designed by Piero Lissoni for the manufacturer Kartell. This Milanese company has been at the forefront of Italian design for over 70 years and is an important innovator in areas such as the use of high-quality plastics for luxury products. It has won both the Good Design and the Red Dot Design Awards. Combining an elegant and refined aesthetic with a high level of practicality, the Lizz Mat Chair from Kartell turns the stackable plastic chair into a timeless art object. Measuring 74cm high, 49cm wide and 53cm deep, the design is notable for its subtle proportions, the slender legs making an attractive contrast with the low, mostly solid back. Each chair is blow moulded from a single piece of technopolymer, resulting in an item of furniture that is sturdy, shock proof and resistant to the elements as well as everyday knocks and scratches.
