Kartell is renowned for its innovative approach to pieces for the contemporary home, working with leading designers and always manufacturing to the highest possible standards. For the Trays Table the company worked with Piero Lissoni, renowned for his painstaking, minimalist approach to everything from hotel interiors to the design of super yachts. His work is always marked by its subtlety: of being more than it appears.

Lissoni's idea with the Trays Table was to reflect a Japanese aesthetic, with a high-gloss finish to the table top designed to resemble a lacquered tray. While the table's elegant minimalism means that it looks slender and light, the structure is in fact both tough and durable, in keeping with the manufacturer's ethic that all it makes should be usable in the domestic setting. This piece will complement contemporary interior design in your sitting room, or can be used as a side table in a bedroom. The frame of the table is constructed from steel tubing, while the surface is of sturdy methacrylate plastic.
