Uncle Jim Armchair

The Uncle Jim Armchair has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Kartell. This chair offers a perfect spot to relax by the fire for hours at a time. It is made for easy, comfortable lounging both indoors and outdoors.

The Uncle Jim Armchair is made of transparent or mass-dyed polycarbonate so it can safely be used in the house or outside. It has a high backrest that is curved inwards so that it cradles the back. It is also reclined backwards for optimal comfort. The seat is generously sized and deeper than standard chairs because of the curved backrest. The sides of the seat have wing-shaped armrests. The chair's front legs are straight while the ones at the back are outspread to an angle. This adds an aesthetic detail while increasing the surface area which enhances strength and stability. The chair is made through an injection-moulding manufacturing process. It makes it possible for it to be made as a single piece with no joints or fasteners which gives it a clean, sleek profile.

The Uncle Jim Armchair has a width of 72cm, a height of 103cm and a depth of 68cm. Its seat height is 43cm and its armrest height is 60cm.
