Opyo Suspension Lamp

The Opyo Suspension Lamp was designed by Christina Celestino for the brand Kdln.

This Italian designer and architect won the 2017 Elle Deco International Design Award. Her work is characterised by a passion for research and observation. In her work with Kdln, she created a range of lighting features inspired by the observation of nature, and the Opyo Suspension Lamp is a prime example of this aesthetic.

The Opyo Suspension Lamp uses organic lines and finely crafted materials to create a dramatic lighting feature that is reminiscent of the suspended husk of a poppy flower. The unique design of this lamp is sure to add a touch of whimsy to any room while the curved organic lines help to break the regularity of walls and ceilings. The bulbous lamp is crafted from a double layer of hand-blown glass. The piece also features metal accents that accentuate the shape of the luminaire. This lamp has a height of 28cm and a 22cm diameter. It also boasts a 22cm diffuser diameter and a 12.5cm canopy diameter. This light can be suspended up to a height of 150cm, making it ideal for use in a kitchen or bedroom.
