High Line LED Floor Lamp

The High Line LED Floor Lamp was designed by Josep Lluis Xucla for the brand Marset.

Xucla is a Catalan designer who has been crafting unique lighting products since the 1980s. Often basing his designs around simple geometric shapes, he adheres to a strict minimalist philosophy, keeping decoration and flourishes to a minimum. Instead, his refined lighting pieces marry form and function with as little as fuss as possible. This fits well with the approach adopted by Marset - probably Spain's leading contemporary lighting label.

In the case of the High Line LED Floor Lamp, Xucla has coupled three wooden blocks - one short block, a black base, and an elongated block which reaches for the sky. The unit measures 189.5 x 32 x 24 cm, with a cable length of 220cm, features premium oak wood for the spine, and employs muted colours to create a relaxed, organic look. Moreover, it also includes a lighting system which reflects light off interior walls, generating a low-key, muted glow that will never feel overpowering. With its original block-based look and a host of useful features, this luminaire is a good-looking and highly practical lighting option for home interiors.
