This attractive Base Table 250x90 cm was designed by Mika Tolvanen of the Rehti Design Group for Scandinavian manufacturer Muuto.

Tolvanen's designs are heavily influenced by the traditional Scandinavian character; combining form and function for a simple, elegant look.

The table has a character and look all of its own yet avoids being overbearing or dominating the room; the hallmark of a high quality design. The slender table is deceptive in its size - it can easily accommodate up to six diners at meal times, thanks to a sturdy aluminium structure hidden under the sleek, laminate table top. This versatile table has more than one use, however; its strong plywood and linoleum structure makes it ideal for use as a desk or workspace. The stylish design means it will fit in easily with any home office decor.
