Tones 2 Kilim Rug

The Tones 2 Kilim Rug has been created by Claudia Valsells for the brand Nanimarquina. The designer made colour and its physiological effects the focal point of this rug. She did so by having one primary colour in the middle of the rug and others on the edges of the rug. This invokes a desire to step into the middle of the rug and draws attention to the centre of the room in which it is placed.

The Tones 2 Kilim Rug is made of pure Afghan wool which is soft, warm and hardwearing. It is also completely biodegradable and hypoallergenic. It is a hand-loomed Kilim rug which means it has a flat, even surface. Its warp strands are interwoven with the weft strands. The latter is significantly tighter and heavier than the former so it bears most of the weight of the pattern. The result is a rug that has a high density and is strong and durable even if it is lightweight.

The Tones 2 Kilim Rug comes in a larger size that has a length of 300cm and a width of 200cm. The smaller rug has a length of 240cm and a width of 170cm. They both have a height of 0.4cm. It comes with an anti-slip pad.
