The JFK Desk has been created by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl for the brand NORR 11. Named after the former American president, this retro-inspired office desk is comprised of slim lines and uses materials sparingly while still providing plenty of storage space for essentials. It's a fine minimalist desk with a dash of 1960s style.
The form of the JFK Desk is simple. A rectangular 130cm wide and 65cm deep desktop rests upon four angled legs, which raise the total height to 76cm. Underneath the tabletop there is a trio of slender draws , which can be used to stash laptops, papers, stationery - all of the things that desk users need.
However, the design of the JFK Desk goes beyond standard desk aesthetics. For instance, the draw handles deliberately resemble the dials on 1960s radios, while the use of ash veneer for the tabletop gives the surface a beautiful, textured appearance. There is a small aperture to feed plugs and cables through if desired, and cables can be fed through one of the aluminium legs, ensuring that they won't create excess clutter in the office. Ergonomic, classically styled and superbly functional, this is a desk that even the US President would appreciate.
