The Colombo 761/L LED Wall Lamp has been created by Joe Colombo for the brand Oluce. Taking the name of its creator, this wall lamp debuted in 1970 but has retained its fresh, inspiring appearance throughout the years. Built around halogen bulbs and adaptable diffuser elements, it broke new ground in home lighting. This updated version does the same for a new generation of lighting enthusiasts.
The Colombo 761/L LED Wall Lamp strikes the eye straight away due to its grill-like aluminium luminaire. Made with an attractive lacquered finish, this curved surface reflects light from the bulb inside, and can be adjusted to point in a range of directions. When adjusted, the lamp's properties subtly change as well, providing a multitude of ways to illuminate interiors.
The lamp's diffuser is 28cm wide, while the product as a whole measures 45cm tall. It has a slender chrome-plated spine which offsets the muted tones of the aluminium shade effectively. The various elements come together well, straddling the worlds of art and industrial design with ease. In terms of illumination, the Colombo 761/L LED Wall Lamp uses a single bulb, which is fixed inside the luminaire and cannot be changed.
