Moragas Table Lamp

The elegant Moragas Table Lamp was created by Antoni de Moragas Gallissà for Spanish design company Santa + Cole.

Santa + Cole was founded in 1985 with the goal of creating functional lighting solutions which are beautiful and create mood in the home. Their products are defined by their elegance and quality. At the age of forty-four, architect Antoni de Moragas Gallissà designed the Moragas lamp for his own use. The lamp won the Estilo Award in Madrid in 1992 and forms part of the Design Classics Collection sold by the company.

The Moragas - Table Lamp features a sturdy solid sapele wood cylinder which supports a head with three bulbs. The combined bulbs create a strong light source, which is diffused by the circular shade. The shade is made from cotton ribbon, which is typically used for bookbinding and features an edge of silk thread. Moragas originally placed notes and cards on his lamp.

The Moragas - Table Lamp comes with a dimmer attached and is suited to modern and more traditional décor themes. The shade is 27cm high and has a 45cm diameter, while the base is 62cm high with a diameter of 9cm.
