The 118 MH Bar Stool with Moulded Seat 94cm was designed by Sebastian Herkner for the brand Thonet.

Herkner is a young German creator who was named Maison & Objet's Designer of the Year in 2019 and is steadily becoming a leading light of European design. His creations constantly feature engaging shapes and sculpted materials, raising them well out of the ordinary. This makes them a great addition to the Thonet range as they continue the label's tradition of exposing upcoming chair designers who push the boundaries of what is possible.

The 118 MH Bar Stool with Moulded Seat 94cm has a classic backed chair design, with a seat height of 46cm and a total height of 80cm. It measures 42cm wide by 50cm deep, providing more than enough room for almost all sitters. The chair has an appealingly chunky form and has been constructed using a blend of beech and plywood, while deep lacquer tones add richness to the final aesthetic. It is also easy to move around and pack away, weighing just 4.3kg. Simple, quirky, and comfortable to use, it's handy for use in breakfast bars and cellars alike.
