The S 35 L Easy Chair Leather was designed by Marcel Breuer for the brand Thonet.
The furniture company was established by Michael Thonet in 1819, producing unique designs using the innovative bentwood process. As a major furniture manufacturer, the company was associated with famous tubular steel furniture designers such as Mart Stam, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. In 1925, Breuer began experimenting with tubular steel furniture with the concept of producing a flexible chair without back legs. Designed in 1925, the S 35 L Easy Chair Leather was presented as a comfortable lounge chair at the Grand Palais in Paris.
This comfortable S 35 L Easy Chair Leather has a curved, chrome frame with a leather back surface. The stylish armrests are made from stained beech or oiled walnut. This innovative easy chair offers a cantilever effect with armrests that flex separately from the seat. The dimensions of the chair are 65cm in width, 84cm in height, 83cm in depth with a seat height of 37cm. As an impressive item of furniture, this appealing chair is ideal for a living room, conservatory, study or office reception. For additional comfort, there's a matching footstool.
