The Mayor AJ6 2-Seater Sofa Walnut Base has been created by Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen for the brand &Tradition. The late Danish architects and industrial designers Jacobsen and Lassen are highly regarded as representatives of Danish Modernism. They introduced functional architecture in the form of modern, innovative furniture and accessories. One iconic design that is still sought after today is the Mayor AJ6 2-Seater Sofa Walnut Base designed in 1939. The re-issue features some modifications but retains the basic design. The re-issue won the prestigious Wallpaper Best Reissue Award in 2013. It has a high back that is curved inwards at the ends. The curved sides function as armrests. It has the detailing of two rows of matching buttons. The seat has two cushions. These and the rest of the sofa are upholstered with Kvadrat fabric or CA-MO leather upholstery. It sits on a frame made of durable, warm-toned walnut that is finished with white oiling, smoked oiling or black staining.

The Mayor AJ6 2-Seater Sofa Walnut Base has a width of 138cm, a height of 82cm and a depth of 62cm. It has a seat height of 43cm. It is available in a selection of colours.
