The Belleville Outdoor Chair Plastic was created by the design-duo Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the leading Swiss label Vitra.

Since the 1950s, Vitra has been commissioning the work of innovative contemporary designers as well as reworking previous furniture classics. French-born brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have a design studio in Paris, and the Belleville Outdoor Chair Plastic is a good example of the utilitarian yet aesthetically appealing nature of their work. Pieces from their portfolio are widely exhibited, and among their many prestigious awards is the Panerai London Design Medal.

The Bouroullec brothers took inspiration for the chair's name from the bistros in the Belleville district of Paris where their studio is located. With its curved and tapered lines and choice of monochrome or two-tone finishes, the Belleville Outdoor Chair Plastic is a pleasing combination of chic elegance and practicality. The chair is constructed from hard-wearing polyamide plastic, making it tough enough to work outside all year round. The Belleville Outdoor Chair Plastic measures 55 x 83 x 50 cm, has a seat height of 57cm and can be stacked for extra practicality.
