Découpage Boucle Vase

The Découpage Boucle Vase has been created by Ronan Bouroullec and Erwan Bouroullec for the brand Vitra. At first glance, it is not immediately clear that it is a vase. It can, in fact, hold its own as a decorative piece without any foliage in it.

The Découpage Boucle Vase is ceramic. It has a cylinder-shaped body with an opening at the top where foliage or other decorative items like pampas grass and feathers can be arranged. It has a tubular U-shaped handle that makes it easy to lift and carry the vase. It is finished by hand-dipping into dye to give it colour and glazing to seal it so that it is not porous and can be used to display live plants and flowers that need to be watered. Working it by hand gives it an endearing, distinctive handcrafted look.

The Découpage Boucle Vase has a width of 17cm, a height of 61cm and a depth of 12cm. It is available in earthy colours. One vase will add a look of fun and whimsy to a space while a cluster with similar or different foliage will have an even greater effect. The vase can be used outdoors as well as indoors.
