Product description

The Surf Sun Lounger has been created by Karim Rashid for the brand Vondom. When crafting Surf, Rashid sought to conjure up gentle ocean waves, creating a restful and beautiful place to relax outdoors. This Lounger from the Vondom label achieves just that, offering space to lie back and soak up the sunshine, as well as an aesthetically impressive addition to garden setups.

The Surf Sun Lounger won the 2010 BOY Award for its style and comfort, and features a single piece of polyethylene resin. Rashid has used a rotational moulding technique to shape the PE plastic into a wave-like form that evokes marine motifs while fitting the shape of the human body perfectly. The plastic is 100% recyclable and comes in a range of finishes, including glossy white or anthracite black, as well as matt white and black.

The Surf Sun Lounger measures 200cm wide and 90cm deep, with a seat height of 21cm and a total height of 90cm. With a weight of 25kg, it will be stable in breezy conditions, but can also be moved easily across flat surfaces. A high pressure spray is recommended when cleaning the chair, which is well suited to all outdoor conditions.
