245 Caprice Chair Leather

The 245 Caprice Chair has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Cassina. This chair's design gives it a sophisticated, futuristic look. The quilted upholstery with buttons plays up this look.

The 245 Caprice Chair has an inner shell made of hardwearing polystyrene that is padded with cold moulded polyurethane foam. The shell is a single, unified piece with no joints or fasteners which gives the chair a clean, sleek profile. The shell begins with a high backrest with a curved upper edge that expands to form a wide seat and then narrows again. The shell is concealed by upholstery which has been done with the detail of quilting and buttons. Scozia leather has been used for this. It is a type of leather that is soft and durable with a uniform grain.

The shell rests on a frame made of steel. The legs that have gliders underneath to protect the floor from scratches, are straight in front and outspread backwards to enhance the chair's stability and durability. The 245 Caprice Chair has a width of 48cm, a height of 80cm and a depth of 55cm. It has a seat height of 45cm. It is available in white and black.
