The 412 Cab Mario Bellini Chair has been created by Mario Bellini for the brand Cassina. It is considered special as it was the world's first chair with a free-standing leather frame. It is an apt representation of traditional craftsmanship and modernity.

The design of the 412 Cab Mario Bellini Chair is inspired by the way skin fits over a skeleton frame on people. Tubular stainless steel has been used for the inner shell. Its square-shaped backrest is a standard height and its seat is generously sized. The backrest is padded with flexible cold moulded polyurethane foam that provides a firm, comfortable seating space. It is upholstered with sixteen pieces of saddle leather that are attached by hand. The leather undergoes a long tanning process that is also done by hand. A zip that goes over the whole chair holds the layers together over the frame.

The 412 Cab Mario Bellini Chair has a length of 47cm, a width of 52cm and a height of 82cm. Its depth is 49cm and its seat height is 45cm. It is available in light and neutral colours as well as bright options. This chair will make elegant and timeless seating around a kitchen, dining or even restaurant table.
